Posts: 154 Cabot Arkansas | My buddy just traded his 09 goldwing for a new cross country tour he really loves the new XCT.I tried to get him to ride my Vision before he traded but he wanted a bike that "looked like a real motorcycle".We went for a little 300+ mile ride yesterday at around the 250 mile mark he finally decided he wanted to trade bikes for a little while.I really like the look of the XCT but after 25 miles on it I find the Vision to have a more comfortable seat and much better air flow around my legs (with the lower deflectors)the XCT was HOT right under the seat where your thighs are just over the motor.I moved the air deflectors to many different settings and could never get as much cooling air as on the vision.I also felt that the XCT seat pushed me closer to the tank and I really missed the electric windshield. The XCT was fun to ride and looks more traditional BUT for a REAL long distance luxury touriing bike it doesn't come close to the Vision IMHO.The first thing my buddy said when he got off my Vision was WOW your vision is more comfortable than my xct AND goldwing and he really liked the electric windshield. On another note his XCT has D&D exhaust Llyod's VM1 cams and VFC3 my Vision is bone stock with only D&D(I had Big Honkers on my 09 Vision and really like the D&D's better) and from a 10 mph roll on to around 80 mph he was only a about 1-2 bike length's ahead of me.It might have been because he has only been riding his XCT for about 2000 miles and is still getting used to it but his cammed XCT didn't start to pull away any from my stock vision until around the 4500 rpm mark.I really love my Vision and everytime I have ridden another bike in the last 3 years I am still certain the Vision is "The most comfortable easiest riding motorcycle I have ever been on !"Long Live The King ! |

One of these days, Victory is going to realize that if they want to pretend that the XCT is the best touring motorcycle out there, that it will need an electric windshield. |

| Interestingly enough, typically a cammed Vision will put out more power than a Cammed Cross Bike. But I agree. The Vision is hands down the better long haul bike, personally I think the Vision is a much better bike overall when compared to the Cross bikes but I am also bias. |

Posts: 639 Tri Cities, WA | I agree 100% with your statement below. My wife just bought the XCT 12 last December ( Nice ride) and every time I ride it and other bikes It just cant match up to my vision in comfort and handling, wind protection, etc and overall experience. I'm never giving up on my vision. Once I have this one paid off in the next 11 months I'm going to buy another one with all the tranny and other upgrades. Love that damn bike.

Posts: 495 Carrollton, TX | Saying the XCT looks like a real bike or the Harley is like saying only a Model T or Model A car looks like a real car. You certainly wouldn't want to be caught driving any of the exotic cars. I hear this from Harley riders all the time so I ask them what antique car do they drive every day. I keep riding every new bike in the touring, sport touring and cruiser category and nothing is as good as the Vision. I have put good miles on the new Harley Ultra's, Road Glides, BMW 1600 GLT, and Gold Wing 2012, None of them offer the comfort, wind and weather protection and luxury touring features as well as the Vision. I can't wait to see what Victory does for the Vision in 2013. I think there will be some nice upgrades giving many of us a reason to buy a new one. |
