Hey y'all! I have a trunk now and I just finished wiring up my Alpine KPT 445 amp to the rear speakers in the trunk. Now I need some better speakers. Does it ever end, lol?
Anyway, what have you used and did they require any modifications to the speaker pocket?
I posted this question over at the VMC also so if you think you've seen this before, you may have...
TIA! |

| I use Polk front and rear. I had a set of Pioneers and honestly I couldn't tell the difference between the two. Both bolted in without any mods.

Posts: 160 Camas Washington | I believe I got the DCX 80, they have a large magnet but there is plenty of room in the back (trunk speakers) the front you either have to replace the speaker box with the foam box you can get on line or take a heat gun and mold the plastic box a little. The large magnet is part of what makes these speakers really sound good. Also you can take the rubber protector around the magnet off for the front, no need for the back. |

| Hey Matt welcome to the trunk crowd..for now I am using a cheap set of 4 way speakers but I had polks on my Kingpin and they worked great. I highly recommend the use of the foam baffles..I found the sound difference pretty substantial. I currently have a hand me down hog tune amp which is unfortunately just a 2 channel amp but I will change that at a later date...I will probably use your write up as a reference..D |
