Northwest of you

Cost plus $500 (excluding tax and license of course) is the best deal I have seen or gotten.

Any dealer is "game" given availability and how close the competitiion is.

Hey Titan -

Keep in mind the total package the dealer is willing to offer......some will discount the bike, but then make up for it on full priced accessories and labor to install....others will offer a discounted extended warranty, if that is one of your priorities....some will give sweet trade in amounts for your current bike, but charge full MSRP for the Vision. If you want the best deal, this is NOT the time of year to pull it off. The 08's that are still available are becoming fewer and fewer, riding season has really ramped up, so the supply/demand ratio is not in your favor right now. My dealer even had some Visions rerouted to him from another dealer because his allotment of Visions for 08 were all sold. If you can wait for the motorcycle riding hormone to go into remission (read that as winter), you'll be able to get the best deal. But that is easy for me to say, as I had trouble waiting for 2-3 days after a test ride for all the financing to come together, and for my accessories to be installed.

You may want to share your geographic location with all of us, as some may live close to you, and can provide recommendations regarding good/bad dealers in your area. Just a thought.

I paid MSRP for the Tour Premium but got all accessories at %15 off plus free install on items requiring install (trunk rack, Stage 1 Level 1 exhaust, GPS mount and wire, etc). Saved quite a bit that way, which made paying MSRP on the bike a bit easier to take. The expensive stuff like leather, helmets, exhaust, etc can add up at %15 - of course, I bought more than I intended  <br />

Nothing wrong, brand new when purchased. But I heard that it started having numerous problems after the sale, but they are among the same problems most of the Visions are also having.

Well I won't post what I paid as I don't want anyone to feel slighted but it was far less than the lowest posted here. I will say this, the market in your area will be the factor in working a good price. If for example you have a strong HD base and resistance to Victory MC's in general, you can work a much better deal. If however you have a bike friendly market with all brands sharing equitably in the market you'll likely be paying msrp.
Finally even if you do pay msrp you'll be happy with the purchase. Yes they could have done a better job on quality control, dealer/customer service can be shaky, dealer network hardly exists.......but the grin on your face when you do your first pass using a 5th gear 55 mph roll on without downshifting will make you forget all the little stuff and price. Here is what's included:
2008 Victory Vision Tour - Midnight Cherry

-Electric windshield
-Victory GPS Mount and Cable
-Garmin 2720 GPS w 2008 maps - Full integration with Vision Audio
-iPod Cable
-Midnight Cherry block off plate - turns the tour into a street
-Arlen Ness Vision license plate frame
-Victory saddlebag cargo nets
-$0 deductible 5 year extended warranty
- ~3500 miles

Very fair price... unfortunately I am not in the market for a second vision... Your bike is well maintained(kevinX) and it looked spotless to me.
Nice meeting you in Helen . Good Luck selling the Vision.

You might get that depending on your market. Unfortunately, there are places you can get a "premium tour" for $1,000 less than you are asking, brand new. That will play a part in your resale. I have over $3,200 in extras on my premium tour now, not including tax:

msrp

$21,500 "Premium Tour"

Extras "rack, lights, stage1, luggage, gps, ipod, utopia, stereo upgrade, etc.."

$3,200

Total = $24,700

I have much less into it than that, but with that being msrp with extras, I would be surprised if I could get $16,900 for it with full warranty left, and only 3,000 miles.

Stuart, hope you're bike sells. You'll take a hit selling early in the game, but you might try eBay to see what happens.

Thanks for reply Golfer. You got one great deal for sure. I may be willing to drop to 17,900 but I can't go lower. I am already losing my a$$. I hope the fact that folks will be avoiding sales tax will help as well. I know that you ususally dont recoup accessories but with the GPS and stage 1 level 2 just installed, I can't sink anymore.

Don't get me wrong, I ain't sellin'. I surely wouldn't sell for that little either. But the fact remains that bikes take a pretty big hit the first day off the lot. Harleys are no exception...

I can't believe after putting miles on the Vision you want back on a Kingpin?

Either way, good luck!!! And I would highly recommend removing whatever accessories you can and selling them on ebay. I am sure the s1l2 can find a home.

thanks for your response! I'm on the central coast of california...the closest dealer is in Camarillo..about 2 hours from me. Admittedly I'm not in a heated rush, and aactually will wait for the 09's, but I'm just checking to se waht I can expect. I imagine they are even more in California...every thing here is more expensive! then again, I can ride year round...not many can say that.

I was asked as one of the Poker run stations to go through the parking lot and pick out my favorite or best done bike in each class. IE bagger(sc tc etc) custom -ie conquest customs super bee. Danny K did a beautiful vegas with gorgeous finish mini ape hangers with no cables or wire showing and beautifully finished and then it came to picking a Vision. I said that even though I didnt personally care for the dragon Vision it was the most unique vision there(and well done for what it is)The other 4 judges decided mine was better for the deliberate and well though out plan I have for my bike.
as of now, all my aluminum panels are beadblasted and painted hi gloss black. I have the conquest derby covers that match the fins on motor as well as finned covers on clutch and brake reservoir. I have the 2820 nicely wired with xm30 antenna mounted nicely on dash board. also have vision piaa lights with stronger 85w bulbs(Thanks Tim)
next round in the plan is to paint all grey parts not painted(ie tipover rears, grab handles etc)
powder coated black as well as both wheels and pulley. The front forks will also be powder coated black Then the lyndall metal composite rotors
with black carrier black friction ring and red anodized buttons. I also have a billet aluminum oil filter(reusable) and a whiteys billet aluminum dipstick with red trim.
My motor is set up as S1L1 with Lloydz diffuser and VFC III.
when you look at it now it is not that dramatic but it will be when done.
Scott @ Conquest customs is both a good friend and a whiz at this and he has put up with my endless questions about every step of the way.
I did win best in class at SE meet with my Vision.... My wonderful mug(trophy) says top 4 at SE meet Helen Ga.
Thanks to all that felt the same way..
if you have questions about any of these mods please contact me by pm or you can contact Scott at Conquestcustoms.com. I dont mind sharing ideas and neither does Scott.
I had my idea for a Vision from the beginning and Scott is helping me achieve it.
