Cruising up 167 towards Auburn enjoying the Pacific Northwests version of sunshine (rain), when my blinkers and brake lights quit working. As luck would have it, I was about 1 mile from the dealer so I pulled in there and they replaced the fuse for me. Went on my way, and noticed a bit later that I could hear the blinker through the radio each time it blinked. Anyone else ever have this issue, was there a short, suggested place to look to fix it? I guess if I pop another fuse I'll just take it in and tell them to figure it out.

Mine pops this fuse from time to time. It is maddening to try and find the cause. Keep us informed if they or you find the cause.

Well, I popped that one fuse in April and haven't had a problem since.... Until yesterday. 3 fuses later the are blowing 10 minutes down the road. Any ideas or even a starting point would be great. Battery terminals are tight, now what?

Knowing the climate you live and ride in I would start by looking for water at a connector. Maybe pull the panel that's in front of the windshield so you can see the top of the turn signals and make sure they're dry, from there keep looking at the various electrical connections on the bike like the flasher relay. I would even pull the relay and spray some contact cleaner on it just to make sure.
BTW you said you can hear the blinker relay in the radio, is it more predominant on one direction vs the other? I think this is a major clue to your issue.

That gives me some place to explore anyway. Is just run it to a dealer and drop it off, but its 2 hours one way. Thanks.

I have this also. It only seems to happen after a long ride and have been using cruise control. Let us know the outcome.

Same thing happened to me last week. I lost the turn signals, brake lights and the cruise control. The short was under the seat, the wire was crimped....

well, almost a year later and an all expense paid government vacation to Afghanistan I got back to looking for the short last night. I found it coming off the left blinker, the wires coming off of the blinker and running light was rubbing on something just before the fuze box. I wrapped it up with electrical tape for now, will probably get a piece of rubber tubing and put around it to protect it some more but seems to be good now. I'd suggest you take a look at the wires coming off the left blinker and trace it back towards the fuze box to see if yours are rubbing as well.

Thanks for the update. I'm always watching for pinched wires when I remove the seat, but will be even more vigilant now.

And thank you for your service to our country.
