New Bohemia, VA | ...an appropriate title for Resurrection Day. Over a deal we made, my bride agreed to ride to the 'rents today. Knowing the day would start out in the high 30, low 40s I finnaly bought her a helmet with a face shield. Both of us clad in leather, we made our way through the back roads of central Va to the upper Shenadoah Valley. Because of the deal she made the ride like a good trooper, but then told me as the temps were approaching 70, and the views were breath-taking, she felt guilty because she was winning twice. The Vision performed flawlessly as usual and pulled the long elevating grades in 6th gear and could accelerate with no problem in the pulls. Also, because of the Vision's advanced stability she never said a peep in the sweeping or the tight turns, though I was riding a little more prudently than me sig-line suggests. There was one time I skillfully negotiated some hairy traffic around a semi as we merged onto I-66 West, but she remained calm in the situation, but did hold on tighter. By the way, we were being tailed by a couple on a Harley as we came through Front Royal, Va but we lost them in that episode even though they were directly behind us as we merged on. The return trip was another good run as we tried to make it home before the evening heat was gone. We sucessfully did, making the trip home in 3 1/2 for a normal 4 hour run. It was a perfect day, and we even saw another Midnight Cherry Tour in Front Royal at a light. If that was you, then that was me you saw at the light at 522 and 55.

Great read... For me, I get all excited when my wife rides on the back. I do all I can do to make it fun, non-scary, and SAFE. I also love it when I spot another Vic on the road!
I have found I enjoy riding more with my girl involved. Even more so with the comms. The few times she doesn't ride with I miss the conversation.

Bay of Gigs, WA | Ditto. It was the wife's idea to go for a ride on Easter, to visit the graves of those we used to have Sunday church and Easter brunch with. A 70 degree day here in the Great Northwet is so rare, and a total pleasure. Warm enough she didn't even wear her chaps, though she turned her seat on in the late afternoon on the way home. |

Albuquerque NM | Ironically I bought the vision for two up riding, just like so many others we love riding together. Two weeks after we got it we found out she's pregnant, a little girl this time (I wonder if my wife would want to call her vickie?). Anyway on Easter we say a group of bikes ride past and she was visibly bothered that we weren't able to be out there having the fun as well. |

Tucson, AZ | I really envy you and your relationship that you have with your riding partner. My wife refuses to ride, scared to death of curves, and hates riding. Hence I don't ride as much as I'd like. Guilt complex ya know because I know when I take off on the weekend she wants to go somewhere on four wheels. |

DITTO!!! ME TOO !!!
I have had just about every motorized toy they make and none of them held my attention like my Vision.
Polaris knocked it so far out of the park with this Bike the ball hasn't landed yet.
Every time I walk by it I want to go ride it.
What a wonderful feeling it is to buy something and actually like more then you ever thought possible.

Kerrville Texas ( now a homeowner on six acres) | Since we are telling stories I can not pass up the opportunity!
I started my MC adventure in 1968 as a young Sergeant in the USMC at Camp Pendleton Cal. The bike was a Kawasaki 120 or 125 with a large sprocket you could tighten three or four bolts and pull the sprocket over and add a length of chain and it became a "dirt bike". This lasted about a year. Fast forward to 1988 and my second bike. A new (never been sold) 1981 Yamaha 650 special. I rode when I could but, with job and Military obligations , not very much. After my unit was called to active duty, the riding stopped for a year. Upon returning to "home base", my lovely wife decided that with my approaching mandetory military retirement (age 60) in 2005 we needed a more stable ride. She suggested we visit the Victory dealer thirty miles from home and "check them out". This was near the end of March 2005.We left that dealers showroom with a new 2005 victory Kingpen. After two years and 28,000 miles or so we decided that a better traveling vehicle was in order. Enter the dealer rep and news of the demo truck and open house and a "VISION " to look at. Needless to say when my love sat on the passenger seat of the vision we said "get us one". the order went in and in late September of 2007, we took delivery of our 2008 Vic Vision and now have logged a little over 42,000 miles on her and the rest is, as they say, history. We both love traveling and of those miles at lest 38,000 is wth both pf us on the ride. We love it and hope all of you ride safe!!!!

Absolutely. My wife loves riding with me, but she wouldn't go if the temps got below about 50, or if she even thought they might. She has a very warm riding suit too. She just doesn't tolerate the cold well. I got her a full set of heated gear and now she rides in any temps and enjoys it. She's even gone on the last two New Year's Day rides when the temps were below freezing when we started out, and she was warm and happy. Great investment for your riding pleasure.
