| For those that change the oil in your bikes....What is the correct amount of oil to put in the Vision motor? The web-site says 5qt. capacity, the manual says 4.9qts., and some others say 4.6qts..I am going to change mine this week and wonder why I cannot just put 5qts in and call it good????Thanks in advance |

Posts: 8144 New Bohemia, VA | --- 5qts is the dry capacity. On oil changing you will not get out that last half quart, so you only need to fill using 4.5 qts. Overfilling can be worse than being low if you're not careful. |

Posts: 118 Capitol Region of NH | I always put in 4-4.5 quarts, start the bike for a minute, check the level on the dipstick. Add oil as necessary to bring the level to the full line. |

Posts: 1365 Central Maryland | Yesterday I changed my oil. New filter. 4.5 quarts of the Vic oil. Put the level right at full on a cold engine; off of the sidestand and held level (after running it previously with the new oil) |
