Posts: 307 Columbia, SC | Alright. been doing all my commuting on my vision (all of it except for when my wife has to come along and she might prefer the simplicity of a car, or it's too cold for her to ride), and it's just feeling better and better.
I bought it sort of "ho hum" as the bike that fit my "needs" from a motorcycle. For me, what I wanted was long-riding comfort, able to comfortably put my feet on ground, have enough extra wattage to run full heated gear, had to have a trunk for bringing stuff to/from work, and I appreciated cruise control and wanted belt or shaft drive.
But it's feeling more like a part of me than ever before. Seems like every few thousand miles I say, "Wow. Now I REALLY feel comfortable and can control it well." And then later, "Oh. NOW I really can control it." And after 11k miles I feel like I can say, "Oh. So THAT'S what it means to feel the oneness with your motorcycle." Really does feel like an extension of my body most of the time. Pause and go's no problem, tight turns no problem, reacting to traffic no problem, and just comfortable.
So if you're lurking considering purchasing but have doubts about the size or weight, it's really no problem.
Let's see how I feel in a few months when I kick up the riding with the warmer weather. Shooting for 20k miles in 2012. Here's hoping!

LOL I don't know why it surprises me, but it does. | |
