Last weekend I had the opportunity to run my Vision on a Dyno. My bike is totally stock with just over 3000 miles on it. The results were 82.07HP and 99.59 ft/lbs Torque.
I thought this was pretty good for a stock bike. I haven't seen much posted on the Vision for Dyno numbers so I decided to add this here for anyone who may be considering buying a Vision. The Vision brochure says 92 hp and 109 ft-lbs torque at the crank so it looks like I am losing about 10Hp and 10ft/lbs from the crank to the wheel....pretty much what I had expected. I would be interested to know how this compares to some other stock bikes such as the 96CI Harley Ultra.

Also, if there any techs on here I welcome your input on what the Dyno graph seems to indicate. One thing that certainly surprised me was how lean the bike runs below 2800 RPM.

I just e-mailed a friend that has an 07 96cu in Ultra. He has the 2-1 Vance & Hinse exhaust and calibrated, I'm pretty sure he said his dyno was in the mid 70's on hp, when I find out I'll post.

My 2001 TC88 Heritage softail ad slightly warmer aftermarket Andrews gear drive cams installed, with Vance & Hines Big Shot Longs pipes, and a Power Commander III on it. Had it dyno tuned, and those numbers came up to 80hp and 80 lb-ft of torque. Not a TC96, but still ran strong. Still GREATLY refer the Vision tho!

I'm really impressed, especially after reading the following from an HD only site:
" the TC96CID engine for Dyna's and Softail'sproduces around 68 horsepower and 83 ft.lb. torque in stock trim. The same bikes with an HD/SE Stage 1 engine makes around 81 horsepower and 96 ft.lb. torque." The HD/SE is the 110 inch motor. this info is found here>>> http://www.nightrider.com/biketech/hd2007HD_performance.htm

Thanks Kevinx for the above link.

I'd be interested in finding a definitive answer as to what the stage 1, level 2 exhaust/intake upgrade is supposed to do for power. I couldn't find it anywhere. It's not on Polaris's online catalog for the kit either... Anyone got a clue about this?

About 96 HP and 103 TQ at the wheel. I've seen a dyno chart of a Vision tuned by Lloyd that gets 94 HP and 110 TQ at the wheel. The GL1800 is a 112 cubic inch motor.

In a standing start drag race, my buddy's GL1800 shoots about 4 or 5 bike lengths ahead of my stock Vision, but after the initial start I can maintain that gap the rest of the way through the quarter. The Goldwing, with a 2.79 inch stroke 6 cylinder engine, winds up quicker than the Vision with 4.25 inch stroke V-twin. The Goldwing also redlines 800 RPM higher, making more horsepower and extending the speeds in each gear compared to the Vision. However, in a 5th gear roll-on contest from any speed from about 35 MPH up to the Vision hits the speed limiter, the Vision pulls ahead of the Goldwing initially, with the Goldwing slowly coming back even at around 100 MPH.

Had my Vis dyno'd last weekend @ POG. Tried to scan in the page but too light. Here are the numbers: 83.9 hp @ aprx 4850 rpm & 101.1 ft/lbs @ aprx 3160 rpm. Air/fuel ratio: 14.9 @ 2700 rpm, leans out to 12.2 @ 3600 rpm & stays there up to 5200 rpm.

I'm VERY happy with those numbers considering it's a "box stock" Vision.
