Posts: 8144 New Bohemia, VA | Okay - there was a thread where the poster was concerned with the lean. I thought at first mine was a little excessive also, but after riding the Vision I don't see what the problem is. Here is a picture of my lean and I captured it at work on a flat level concrete parking deck and I squared the camera on the deck. I didn't get out my protractor, but frankly I do not see where this is a problem. Even with this lean angle, it is very easy off the kick.

Posts: 73 Nor Cali | Looking at the pic in that other thread, it did look like it was over kinda far, but yours looks fine...the lean, not your back end.

Posts: 8144 New Bohemia, VA | Okay, I "stole" the pic and put it in the post above for comparison. I think the difference has to do with air in the shocks.
Okay, I did some forensic comparison and here you go for a closer look. I'm curious how much air is in his shock. If it is around 25 to 30lbs I would have the kickstand replaced or modified.

Posts: 741 Central New York | I would not like the lean to be any less, at least around my part of the country. We have some really seriously crowned roads around here, and when parked on some of them the bikes sits pretty straight. If she had any less lean I don't think I could safely park on many of the roads. |

I spent 10 years with the 782d Maint Bn, 82 Abn Div 79-91. After that I had a sundry of other assignments until I retired in '99. Thanks for your service! |

I have found that to be a problem also, to the point of relocating the bike in fear someone would gently nudge and it would do a self-test of the TOP. |

| The silver one is mine, straightening the bend in the stand seems to have helped and there is 20psi in the shock. At least now it doesn't look or feel as scary as before. |

Posts: 804 Perry Hall, MD | You wouldn't think that it makes a big difference, but the absence of the rubber pad on the end of the kickstand will affect the lean quite a bit. |

| Yeah I need to replace the pad as well. It's on my list of things needed.

Posts: 785 Mt. Vernon, WASH. | How's about one of the aftermarket accessory manufacturers fab's up and markets an inexpensive side stand extension nub for the kick stand?? I find myself clawing to find the stock 'nub' which is about the last thing I'm in the mood for after riding a few hundred miles (particularly if that last cup of coffee IS the reason I'm stopping, it screams 'we're not interested in ergonomics' and even with jeans and boots it's easy to fry your calf trying to find the little thing. |

| Someone is making an extension. Not sure where I seen it though. About 20.00? Seemed like a good idea.

Posts: 366 Albuquerque, NM | NOEMTZ.COM has and kickstand extension. I purchased one and it works great! Only problem is you have to remove the rubber pad on your ks to mount it and you can't mount the rubber pad underneath the ks extension.
