state farm
100,000/300,000 coverage with under and uninsured ($250 deduct)

its hard to give a "fair" price as my insurance is also bundled with my car and home. but for being in pittsburgh in a high traffic area, state farm was the cheapest for the same exact coverage. also another factor is PA has very different insurance laws than other states. (this is according to past insurance companies i have called)

roughly $400 a year for max coverage on everything

I know this is apples to oranges because I live in Ontario Canada but I just got my quote in the mail for renewal and with a clean driving record record for 30 years (motorcycle and car) my insurance now wants $1400.00 for the year. I'm going shopping.

BC Canada - only ONE source for insurance: ICBC (Gov't) but you can shop around for COLLISION coverage or go without.

My current cost (over 65, safe driver discount) - $1,100 / yr for full coverage.

I asked and my insurance lady said if you live inner city more money. If you drive heavy congested roads other wards rush hour more money. High theft rate.
Live in the suburbs less money and short drives to and from work less money.
08 vision state farm $238 with $500 deductible. Progressive chargers more cause you get a $3000 add on's. So if you add pipes and chrome and wheels your covered. Progressive is really designed for harleys. Not for guys that don't have much to add.

It's all good... They're charging you in funny money anyway. What's a Canadian dollar worth anyway? 25 cents American?

So. Cal. Auto Club (AAA)
Riverside County Motorcycle license x 28 years, Good Driver, Multi-Vehicle discount, Garage parked.
2010 Ness Vision 10-15k miles/yr
Liability $100/300k...............................$160
Property Damage $50k.........................$47
Comprehensive $500 deduct................$85
Collision $500 deduct............................$251
Uninsured Motorist $30/60k..................$62
SubTotal.................................................$605
Returning Policyholder Saving Dividend..-$75
Total.......................................................$530/yr

Policy may be high because my wife is on the policy with 2 points on her record, but she does not have a motorcycle license, so I don't think it raised it any.

Don't worry Don, we will probably catch up to you sooner or later. We just have to adopt a few more of those Socialist programs like you guys have. Obamacare will head us in the right direction. Government has to get it's money somewhere, padding an extra $600. of a man's motorcycle insurance is a good start.

bike insurance value mostly depends on the cost of the bike, if the cost of the bike is less then the cost of insurance will be less.

So I did my renewal. It seems they didn't give me my SENIORS discount for the past 2 years that I was eligible for. About $600 that I paid that I shouldn't have paid. Tough shit, I was told.

So for Apr 11, 2012 to Apr 10, 2013 - BARE BONES coverage - $713.00

Hello friends,
Two coverages required by law Property Damage Liability and Bodily Injury Liability are automatically part of any motorcycle policy we buy. Property Damage Liability Coverage helps protect you from paying for the repair or replacement of another motorist vehicle or property, including vehicles, homes, or other structures. According to me the best is to take average motorcycle insurance , here we can get the coverage of our vehicle with the most important pack. Bodily Injury Liability Coverage helps protect you from paying medical costs, loss of income, and funeral expenses of other people involved in an accident. Two important notes:
In some states, bodily injury to a passenger is covered separately under
Passenger Liability coverage. In other states, you can pay an additional premium so that Bodily Injury Liability Coverage applies to passengers.

The matter of fact is that bike insurance value deepends upon cost of bike too. So lesser the value of a bike lesser will be its insurance cost. Also,Quotes-center Ins has the lowest prices i have found till now.

Maybe it's just my take on it, but the last time I checked, at least in the U.S., the goverment in any form had no input on the rates charged by private vehicle insurance companies, and I thought politics was sort of a 'don't go there' subject area on this forum as there are unlimited other sources on line where you can 'push out a head gasket' on political subjects if you think the Blue bird of happiness is taking a dump on your lifestyle. And if it is going political, I'll get my hat and head for the door now thank you.
My late Dad spent his career in business credit and credit reporting and told me several times that there were three organizations you never mess with, The Mafia, Organized Baseball, and Insurance Companies. I'm wrestling with my insurance guy right now over this years rates of $600/yr and given the amount I ride in the roughly 180 'nice enough' days we get, that equates to around $3.00 a day & I'm charged for a full 12 months even though for 6 months SYNSTR lives under it's cover on the carport as I don't play Iron Man anymore as I get older.

interesting little bit of info that made me and the geico lady laugh.. today i decided i would call all the BIG insurance companies about insurance on my Vision. im with state farm now. so i was trying to look at ways of lowering the rates without lowering coverage. For the hell of it i asked what kind of discounts would there be in i had a Alarm system on my bike.. Full bells and whistles.. pager, ignition disabler, horn etc etc.. state farm said ZERO, allstate said ZERO and geico said $3 discount ! lol I Laughed and then so did the lady... i think that right there shows you the faith insurance companies have in these motorcycle alarm systems..... all but one that I called said no lower premiums. then the geico lady was smart and asked me how much does the alarms cost.. I gave her a idea (range) she said you can just add more coverage and Know your protected instead of hopefully being protected by some 3rd party alarm system. im still giggling about the $3 discount.... (Dont spend it all in one place!)

Dairyland 785.yr, up from 450 last year, 300000 / 100000. 500 deductable. Checked progressive and geico. both over 1100. Per year. Live in Joplin mo. All insurance rates have gone over the top this year and many people canceled at renewal.

Having been an insurance agent for about 5 years....there are so many variables to insurance that it is very difficult to do and "across the board" comparison. Michigan for instance attaches a MCCA (Michigan Catastrophic Claims Asso.) which adds a fee of about $145 to EVERY vehicle you drive in this state. Sorry its not a discussion thread but just had to add my 2 cents.

Coop

Encompass...bundled with multiple vehicles and condo insurance
50/100 Liability
100 Comp
1000 Collision
$43 a month

Threads like this are useless.. (not to be rude) so many factors that you truely cant even begin to compare your rates to someone elses.. hell i moved 20 miles away and my mc insurance went up 25%! Location is everything. Then factors like your credit score, state laws are different, and the list goes on...

There is a massive variation in the cost of car insurance. The price you pay will depend on your age, where you live, the car you drive and whether you have made any previous claims.

Young drivers, males in particular, face the highest costs because they are most likely to be involved in an accident.

Naw, it's not useless. It gives folks opportunity to rattle on the internet....

The one thing that I've learned about insurance is that it is the highest stupidity "fine" out there. I quit being stupid and my insurance went down. I've been off of speeding tickets for about 9 years now, plus I'm officially an old coot so that brought down my rates also. I talk to my insurance agent often just so they'll look over the policy to see where I can save. My advise for anyone is shop and save and don't get tickets. If you get a ticket, you'll pay your stupidity fine well past paying your ticket fine.

There's been several inquiries as to insurance cost for a Victory so let's use this thread to create an aggregate list of Insurance Companies, Cost, and Coverage. Let's use this strictly as a Reference thread (no discussion please).

Provide:

Location:
Bike Year & Model:
Insurance Company:
Coverage, Deductable:
Cost/yr:

Location: Southern California
Bike Year & Model: 2011 Victory Vision
Insurance Company: Geico
Coverage, Deductable: Full coverage 100,000/300,000 with 250 deductable
Cost/yr: $475.00

As mentioned by others, the insurance coverage varies a lot from one state to the other..

Just renewed mine with Dairyland Ins. Washington state full coverage under $500.00. Quite a saving against in-state insurerers.
