Does anyone use these Cee Baileys headlight guards? Are the risks actually there? Has anyone cracked their headlight housing?

I went to napa and bought 3m paint protector vinyl. I used it where your feet will slid under the shifter or bake peg. Didn't want scratches.
With the left over I made a pattern and covered most of the head light.
The headlight sells for $500 bucks so any help I can get is worth it. Yes I used it on my gas door and front fender. In the video with the key pushing on the film sold me. I do know lots of car owners swear by the film.

I did the Invisiguard paint protector and headlight film. Already had to replace the piece on the right side upper fairing. Had a pu truck think he owned the road, or didn't think motorcyclists should be able to split lanes, so he gave me the squeeze play. Wiped out my hwy peg on his dually and left 3 inches of his paint on fairing. When I got to work, I simply peeled the paintguard off, put the hwy peg in the vise, and the bike looks as good as new. I hope the headlight film won't have to take that much abuse, but I know that it can.

I had the Invisiguard on my headlight and the heat from the HID lights resulted in spider cracks in the lens.

i had invisguard on my vision as well and i never had that issue. on my 08 it was there for 2.5 years and on the 2011 vision only a few months. but in all fairness i ONLY use my HID in rain, fog,or night time.

The reason why i went with the invisguard (which i will NOT recommend) was because i didnt like the visable mounting tabs on the other headlight gaurds

I had my headlamp replaced under warranty but found out it was like $800 with labor to replace it if it ever was broken....so when I got the Cee Bailey windshield I ordered a headlamp protector too.
