Posts: 307 Columbia, SC | If you have an ipod touch/iphone plugged into the glovebox ipod cord (with the radio turned off), will the SENA connect to it, and the cord keep it charged? Or does the fact that the cord is plugged in override any bluetooth options on the ipod thinking that it HAS to play through the speakers?

Posts: 1290 Ruskin, Fl | I'll get back to you on this too. I have an old phone plugged into the bike for the ipod feature only. I have a new iphone connected to my Sena SMH-10 in my helmet. I do not like music in my helmet, I'd rather use the radio on the bike. The other day I plugged the current Iphone in and the music was coming through the helmet. It over rode the radio audio. It does not always work like that. It has to do with the order you connect the devices. I unplugged the iphone from the bike and plugged it back in and had audio through the bike again. I play around with it and let you know. |

Posts: 1 Oregon | I have an iPod Touch plugged in to the iPod cable in the glove box. The cable does keep the iPod charged, and it does not override Bluetooth connections. Since I haven't gotten my Bluetooth dongle installed yet, I have my iPod paired with the Sena headset and get music into the helmet speakers. The handlebar controls function as expected, except for volume, of course. The only problem is that if I want to play the iPod music through the speakers, I must either turn off the Sena, or turn off Bluetooth on the iPod; the iPod turns off output to the cable if there is a Bluetooth connection.

Let me get this straight. You can control your iPod with your handlebar controls (to the SENA) withOUT the Vic BT dongle? Can you start/stop/pause/advance tracks and folders/etc? Basically everything except volume (which is on the SENA)? |
