Posts: 42 Prescott, AZ | I have a 2011 Ness Vision. I hate the seat. I am 6'3" with a 35" inseam. The low ness seat makes my knees higher than my hips. This makes my hip flexors (front muscles) really tight, which contributes to my lower back problems. I am considering the Russell Day Long seat as it sits taller than even a stock seat. Anybody have a day long seat and can comment on it?
If I do go with a Day Long seat, I would have to send them my seat to use as a base and they'll scrap the leather cover and foam. Being that I have the Ness seat, which is low and has the nice stitching (shame for it to go waste) and added support, would any one like to trade their Vision leather seat (part number 2876675)?

They are really good and have customer's who come from as far away as Montana to Cali to canada. Just an FYI. I Have had 3 seats made by them and all them top notch and they can re-use your ness leather if you like. |

They may struggle to reuse the existing Ness leather if they are going to lift Andre up as well as providing under thigh support, VisionNWRider. I have had several seats lifted an inch or so and reshaped, and they have been unable to reuse the existing cover.

Hi Andre,
Probably teaching you to suck eggs, and apologies if I am, but if you DO end up going with day-long, make sure that the photos you send them of you on the bike are taken with you on the seat you actually send them. (ie, don't take photos on the Ness seat and send them a stock one). Day-long rely on your exact positioning to fit the individual to the seat.

I will be sending my seat out to them as soon as I find a box. |
