Posts: 41 Mena, arkansas / 12 vision | It has been hard finding the tight bike for Holly she is 5'4" and wanted a nice touring bike that is easy to handle and looked good going down the road; it must handle to considering her sport bike back ground.
Here she is trying the bike on for fit, if it doesn't fit right then no test ride
So the bike fits well and feels like she would be comfort able so the next step is the test ride. She loved the bikes handling and fit while on the road so we worked up a deal and some accessories to make it right.
Here it sits with some guards added and a back rest.
the deal get closed around 5pm and she?ll need to ride home in the dark and cold. Right now is is 43 degrees and cloudy. After about 35 miles she pulls over and I check to see what's up. Our deal was she rides it till dark and then I ride it home. I have electric gloves, jacket and a higher tolerance for the cold. I thought she wanted to get off as it had dropped into the 30s by now. No dice though she was just making sure all was good for her to rider it the additional 50 miles home. That says a lot about home much she loves the bike. It was during a cold dark night that Holly gained a relationship with Victory.

That says a lot about Victory and how it thinks about the rider. I know she's one happy lady. Get her to sign up here so we can hear straight up on how she likes her CC. Beautiful bike.
Wishing you all a very Merry Christmas! |

Posts: 41 Mena, arkansas / 12 vision | shes not much on forums but we have been talking about the bike this evening.
her comments:
Light, handles very well, good passing power. Smooth stopping and easy to balance. She liked the self canceling turn signals. The seat fits her well with her butt in the seat pocket, where all the other bikes she sits far forward on the seat.
the clutch fiction points were good and easy to modulate.
One of her concerns was the floor boards and feet in front riding style. That is a huge change from the sport bike days. This is the only bike with floor boards that she instantly felt OK on. She liked the boards since she can get her feet back some. When they are back that far, the board is narrow and that allows her to get her feet down quick and easy if needed |

Posts: 416 Prairie City, IA United States | My wife rides the Cross Roads and she is 5'-4" tall to. She found a pair of Redwing motorcycle boots with a 2" heel that helps even more to flat foot the bike.
She is going to love this bike. You are a smart man letting her choose her own bike. |

Posts: 41 Mena, arkansas / 12 vision | thanks all, She like the bike at stock height. She doesn't have any issues with touching or lifting the bike off the side stand. Thanks for the offers though. We're about to head off on a ride |

Posts: 307 Columbia, SC | My wife's got the same jacket. Just doesn't fit her as well.
As far as reach goes, I can't verify it yet cause I haven't bought one yet (I'm 5'4" so probably the same reach), but when I was asking around, I got a few responses that a good backrest can push you forward and also makes riding a lot more comfortable. So I'll be saving up for a Utopia backrest (can push a few inches forward). Might want to look into it.

Posts: 639 Tri Cities, WA | Tell holly congrats on her new ride. Looks like a perfect fit. We welcome her into the victory family. My wife of 5' 3"+ just bought the CCT becasue it didnt require any mods to fit her and she also flat foots it as well. ;-). Again enjoy. |

| If you would like the bike to fit her even better I seen that the optional Victory heated seat for the Cross bikes sit 1" lower and a bit more forward. Also looking at that one pic it looks like her feet are at the back end of the floorboards with her legs relaxed. The floorboards are adjustable and can probably be moved back some to fit her better. Get her the soft lowers too. $100 very well spent and that 30* ride would be nothing with them on. |

Posts: 41 Mena, arkansas / 12 vision | I do, and grit she does have. Eye appointment yesterday morning and she left in 26 degree weather, with a 15-20 dive to town. When she got home she was frozen but happy. First words were "I love that bike" next "I'm frozen" at least she has her priorities right |

| I know this is a very old thread. I stumbled upon it from google searching "victory cross country cheese wedge badge." LOL
I wanted to reply to say that after seeing these pictures, your wife should take advantage of the CC's design to move the foot controls to the rearmost setting... |
