Good question. We have a wealth of knowledge on this board for installing the Thrushes, but not much for sources regarding tips. I will want to watch this thread as well. Will be performing the operation shortly myself....

I saw where someone got tips from an auto parts store O'Reilly I think, and included part numbers. Search the site for Thrush... also check tech ref. as there was a photo install documentary...

I used the Spectre Performance 25556 resonator tip. It's the tip that was in the thrush mod video. Love the sound of the setup. Cost is about $30.00 per tip. I would think that any 4" tip would work. It would depend on the length of the thrush mufflers that you use. I went with the 31" mufflers.

TRELL, I picked up a set of "streetglow" tips for mine, "on the cheap" $9. I like the sound and look and if I ever decide to change I'm not out money

Since I'm getting the 35" overall length Thrushes, I'm concerned about an exhaust tip that is too long for them. Just quickly viewing what's out there; Jegs carries a Flowmaster 2.5" inlet, 4" outlet, 7.5" length tip that may work. I probably will mount the Thrushes first and leave them "tipless" until I can get a better view of the length of tip needed...

I got the Dynamax tips (stainless) and had to have them welded onto the mufflers for a tight fit. That stainless just doesn't give. <img border="0" width="720" height="540" src="http://a1.sphotos.ak.fbcdn.net/hphotos-ak-snc4/164770_169965243048098_100001038699082_367356_7433339_n.jpg" /><br />

I have the same tips as Biscuit. But trell said he wanted cheap. Thats why I put that link in there. Remember you get what you pay for. As for me I like the Dynamax for the fact that it is double walled and gives you some back pressure so you dont loose tourq. Dain

roundtwig what length Trush mufflers did you use. I particularly like your set up. How long are the tips?

I have questions: I did the mod to my exhaust with the thrust pipes.. Love the sound now, but was there any adjustments needed to Air intake or Disconect O2 sensors? My bike seems to be running hotter than before mod? Richard

Having 43 years of electrical experience doesn't help me find a good step by step thrush modification tutorial. HELP, please. I have to do my own stuff to save money. I'm not gonna lie, the past 7 years have been tough.
