Posts: 8144 New Bohemia, VA | I'll be travel'n for biz in a couple of weeks to Orlanda and had high hopes of rollin' there. So I tell the wife in an "oh, me" sorta way, and she says she wants to go. So that means....ugh...driving... but we'll enjoy it just the same, we need the together time, she just don't want to roll that far just yet, and in the winter.
(maybe she'll change her mind) |

the dilemna is that she doesn't like it below 70 degrees and two hours on a bike in a day is a long trip. It's 11 hours for me and that a piece of cake if I was doing it alone. I rode there in Dec '07 right after I got the bike. |

| Mine flew to Montana to meet up with me at Glacier National Park. She would have bailed the first day through the desert. |

Posts: 35 St. Charles, MO | I did something like that this past summer. Wife wanted to go to the beach in NC, so I jump on the bike a day early, she flies to Charlotte, where I pick her up and we ride the rest of the way to the beach. Then I just drop her off at the airport on the way home and spend another day riding. Worked out great for both of us. She got her beach time plus some riding and I got to play in the TN/NC mountains both directions. |

Posts: 8144 New Bohemia, VA | I really have few options, it's only a two day trip on the ground in Orlando. If I ride, it is a one day shot for me. If flying is involved, it would just me traveling business. If the wife goes, we would drive but would take our time getting there and coming back. When the boss said "Orlando" I already had the bike fueled and loaded, in my mind. When I told the wife, she had her bags packed and ready to go. I'm hoping one day it'll be a "roll together" affair, but at the rate things are going, that will likely never happen. She doesn't like flying either, so there you have it.
Chances are I'll roll, and I would like to see some folks, I might even go by and see KevinX...but I can't get cammed though... maybe my next Vision... |

Posts: 8144 New Bohemia, VA | well, a few things are making it more smarter to fly, oh well. The Vision's down at the moment anyway, ignition switch doesn't function and had to (**gasp**) trailer it home tonight. |
