San Antonio, TX | Magic and I stopped by Home Depot to pick up some hinges to remount the mirror in the Vision trunk.
It looked like Home Depot added Victory to their Line Card.
I took his mirror off to do the 4710 Trunk light mod. When we remounted it we used two small hinges at the bottom of the mirror. 3M VHB tape on the hinges, making sure that that the tape is far from the hinge area and that the hinge is not on the bottom of the hole.
If the hinge is too low on the trunk mirror, it will hit the underside of the trunk lid and not open very far. Drill a hole in the mirror for a sheet metal screw to pass through and drill a smaller hole in the trunk for the screw to hold the mirror up. Do not over tighten the screw and warp the mirror.
It provides a nice little space to keep something out of the way. Like, love notes, a small handgun, money or a slide rule.
