My warranty or may not be expired as of this week, I'll have the bike 4 years as of next Wednesday. I use my cruise maybe 3% of the time I ride, to rest my hand, to salute, or to ride a few miles without hands. I went on my 380 mile Veteran's day ride yesterday and quickly found out my cruise was out. I comtemplated the warranty status and studied to see if a standard throttle lock would work in case the warranty was done. I counted the times I would have used my cruise and found that it was a valuable assest above a throttle lock. So I hoped...

Today, I did the basic trouble shooting and found out it was just a blown fuse, thankfully.

I use the cruise control quite much as well, especially on my trek back on forth to work (highway). Very cool to simply change hands on the bars; while the mighty Vic doesn't miss a beat.

Check all the cruise control safety cutouts, throttle, clutch, brake levers as a dirty contact on my old VENTURE gave me fits for months until I went around and got all the accumulated road schmutz off the contacts with rubbing alcohol and a white SCOTCHBRITE square.
Might want to squirt the switches on the right bar with a can of contact cleaner.

I could always tell when one of my LED mods wasn't working cause the cruise control wouldn't work. I've become much better at splicing wires now. I always turn the cruise control on as soon as I fire up the bike. If it works, I know my lights probably do too.

I LOVE my cruise - cuz I wave at the other bikers with my 'throttle hand' - confuses the crap out of them - until they 'figure it out' - and then go down the road muttering about 'assholes on spaceships'....
