Looking for options to mounting location of the intercom/CB unit to allow for removal of truck.
I understand that the filler plate will not fit with the CB unit installed…  Is this correct?
What have others done to allow for the conversion?

Somewhere there's a post floating around of someone who put it in their saddlebag. Gave up a little storage room, but that's the tradeoff for being able to take off the trunk.

I saw a clean installation where the owner had the backrest and luggage rack. He mounted the CB unit in a watertight box under the luggage rack and installed the passenger's switches and jack in the top of the saddlebag. I didn't get any pictures.
