Posts: 53 Gotha, FL | What would keep a thief from stealing the entire dash organizer with or without your gloves inside. How do they attach to the dash so they don't get up and walk away by themselves or disappear by some other method? |

Posts: 599 New Mexico | Yes, but not until the January time frame. I will reopen post then.
Mine just attaches with velcro, but could easily add a small strap for a screw as a a security option.
Is made of two layers of waterproof material, but IF she gets a leather sewing machine for Christmas (probably not @ $700) she would offer a leather version as well.

I sew leather and vinyl with my wife's standard sewing machine. You can get what's called a Roller Foot for it. Mine cost about $10.00. It has no problem going through 3 or 4 layers of upholstery or garment weight leather. |

Posts: 599 New Mexico | I mentioned to her, but she is concerned with the plastic gears and low powered motor in her Kenmore. Good for most things, but would not hold up long doing leather VDOs.

I hear ya. My wife has a Kenmore that we paid just a bit over $100.00. Pretty cheap and light weight. I was surprised at how well it did.
I wouldn't want to start using it extensively for leather and vinyl but it's had no problems doing the couple of projects I've done with it. Most recently I cut the wedge off the back of the passenger seat and reupholstered the seat from the driver portion back. I used matching vinyl for it. |
