I saw the coolest sidecar this week while riding the backroads near Anamosa, IA. It was in route, and hugging a curve...YES, hugging a curve, the bike AND sidecar in a pretty good lean! Never seen anything like it. It definitely caught my attention. I almost turned around to catch up with the guy but didn't.

I think it was a BMW bike, not sure. So I went searching the Web and found this...FLEXIT leaner sidecar http://www.bmwmotorcycletech.info/flexit.htm .

If I were to consider a side car it would be this one. Pretty cool.

I tried to go to their web site. It appears as though they are out of business. I'm like you, I would have one. To ride in one of those must be like disney land!!

Out of business?! Damn. I bookmarked the page and everything cause the lack of lean is the primary reason I don't look at sidecars. Bummer if they are out for good.

With production stopped in 2005 and only 167 produced worldwide (South Africa, Holland and California) you would probably have better luck winning the lottery than finding one for sale.

Very interesting product.

You know, for the price of sidecars in general, you'd probably be better off finding a used sidecar and then just finding a shop to custom fabricate brackets for whatever bike you want. And the leaning concept looks like it can be accomplished with not too much extra engineering.
