Posts: 79 Michigan | These are on my list of accessories to consider. So far I don't have any complaints with the speakers my Vision came with but I would upgrade if these really do provide a richer sound. Just wondering if anyone has these in their ride yet and if you felt they were worth the money. |

| I tried the kickers but the stock amp didn't get them loud enough. They really need an amp. I put the stockers back in order to get the volume back without running an amp. They fit in the front without modification.

Yes, and yes. And yes, there is a noticeable, albeit not drastic, difference in sound from stock. It's worth the upgrade IF you get them from Ebay. I've found them online for anywhere from $100-$120 / pair. |

The Kickers come in two "flavors", 4ohm and 2ohm. The 4ohm will not be as loud as stock, and require some amplification, but will sound better. The 2ohm are what Victory sells as upgrades, and allow you to turn them up louder than stock before distorting. They sound slightly better than stock as well. My guess is that somehow you ended up with the 4ohm version. |

My '08 Vision is 4 ohm. I cannot speak for the other years. |

Interesting, while I did not see the "warning" you spoke of, I do see that it references the 4ohm version for all Victory head units. This seems to contradict the fact the Victory head units are 2ohm as are the Victory OEM speakers. Wonder what's up with the apparent discrepancy.

Did the Hawg-Wired speakers require modification to the front speaker buckets (volumes) ? Their documentation makes no reference to requiring a mod. As a matter of fact, the instructions don't even specifically state to reinstall the buckets. Hmm.... If that is the case, sounds like the crutchfield speaker cups I bought a while back may come in handy. |

Hmmm, I'm gonna have to go look at my OEM speakers again, but I coulda sworn that they said 2.6 ohm on them..... |

The foam speaker baffles from Crutchfield are definatley the way to go (front and rear). With these, the magnet size no longer is an issue which greatly increases your options. |

Posts: 122 Westchester Co., NY | I installed the Kickers with no mods. There is a very slight improvement in sound quality. I would say don't bother with the speakers alone. Keep it stock or save up for good speakers with an amp. |
