Posts: 6 Phoenix, AZ | Hi everybody. I just wanted to introduce myself. My name is Chris and next week I will be trading in my Ultra Classic for 2010 Ness Vision #022! I've already been scouring this board and have some ideas for some potential upgrades. If any of you Phoenix area riders know of any group rides or gatherings let me know. I am a 10,000+ mile/yr rider but mostly by myself. Wouldn't mind a group ride every once and awhile.

You will have to add time to your gas stops because they usually turn into Q&A sessions.
Your in a warm area of the country you may want to add lower air deflectors.

Welcome, nice bike. Pretty sure you'll enjoy your Vision more than the Harley. I know I do.
Well in just one short test ride, me and my girlfriend already like the Vision a lot more than the Harley. She especially likes the adjustable windshield. I like that feature more for her than myself as she was really getting beat up by the wind due to the shorter shield I have on the Harley. I also got a chance to ride on some bumpy side roads and she also noted that the Vision soaks up the bumps better than Harley from the passenger seat.
When I finally got off of the side roads and onto the freeway is when it really shined! Twisting the throttle open on the entrance ramp really put a smile on my face. Definitely a huge upgrade over the Harley on power. The bike is outfitted with the CFR pipes as well and I really like them. They are VERY quiet in comparision to the exhaust setup on the Harley but I think I could definitely get used to it. Very nice deep rumble at idle, a nice growl on acceleration, and almost dead silent while cruising add freeway speeds. At 80 mph, I could actually turn my head slightly and talk to my gf at normal volume and she could hear me just fine. That is impossible on the Harley.
I had my heart set on a Victory before I bought the Harley. But my uncle gave me a deal on the HD that I just could not turn down. I will definitely miss the bike and the 12,000 miles of memories i've had on it over the last year. Looking forward to many many more miles on this new Vison!!!! I really need to stop thinking about this at work. I'm about to jump out of my cubicle! LOL |

Actually I am not sure of the length but I do believe it is the shield that comes standard of the Ness models. |

Posts: 6 Phoenix, AZ | I just realized that I haven't posted since I actually bought the bike. I have had it for a week now and I am loving it more and more every day as I am getting used to it. I haven't been able to go on any long rides yet and I also realized yesterday that I hadn't gone through the entire powerband at WOT yet either. That all changed yesterday when a BMW 5 series driver thought he would try and be cute and blow past me on the entrance ramp to the freeway. Needless to say he lost that battle. |

The best power is made above 3500 rpm. My Vision rarely sees that rpm or higher in the city....but the country is a different place.
