| I just installed mine today and the difference is huge!
I had zero reception 15 miles from Nashville and now I have very good reception. It is worth the time and the purchase on ebay for a powered antenna as previously posted.
Just my two cents.

Hey Guys,
I want to make it clear that I am not trying to take credit for this idea. It is from guys on here that i heard about it. It is the Metra 44-ua20 and the Guy I posted the link to above was a super fast shipper. I will return home next Wednesday and will post a bunch of pics for you.
Take care!

| No adapter and no splicing, it is the same type connection. You will have to tap into a 12. Volt source.. I read others using their HID light switch as the power on switch. I didn't want to do that as the bulbs are probably ly pretty pricey and I didn't want to burn it any more than needed.
I did splice into the green and pink ( if memory serves me ) lead into the HID light switch for power as this is the hot side. I am adding a switch in the blank switch cutout next to the HID light switch.
I hope this helps and I will post pics in tech reference once I return to Nashville next week. |
