I would not add the extra air filter without adding a fuel controller. You English is far better than my Spanish. Welcome aboard. I do think the extra air filter works but at higher than cruise RPM's and not necessarily at lower demand part throttle operation.

You will hear some noise at idle but the power gains were worth it to me. And I like the noise, reminds me of the old cowl induction cars.

Kris1956, it is an easy install, it goes under the radio on your bike. There is a plate you will have to take off and then replace it with the filter. I got mine from Ness, I also like hearing the sound of the air being sucked in. I also do not have the fuel controller on my bike, I do however have a PC V and I opened up the exhaust system as well and put the bike on a dyno to help with the backfiring issues. It was well worth it as well, it increased the H.P. about 10%. Good luck on whatever you do.

I put the Ness Twin Suckers on at the same time a VFCIII, there was an improvement in performance. There is more noise, no question about it. I would not add this without a fuel controller or you risk running too lean which can cause damage.

I too have the twin sucker filters and the VM1 cams as well. I have always intended to put my stock plate back on and see if I lose much.....

I have the top ness air filter with NO controller or down load. The bike runs strong and it does NOT run lean un less 45 mph is lean.
I have the knock off new k&n that I will sell cause its not that much better then stock.

I've been thinking of doing this, too. Does the regular stock filter work? Or do you have to order a different one?
Does anyone know the filter part numbers?

the most recent post from lloyds mentioned a NEW top air filter to come.. one that is not as Noisey... to be honest, i didnt reinstall my top air filter on my 2011 because i thought it was noisey! i not only hear the air being sucked in (which i didnt mind) but i heard all the mechanical noises as well. ticking etc. everything was amplified by adding the top air filter. and it must be true since lloyds is making a NEW top air filter and mentions this one will be more quiet... for me personally when i added the filter and turned on the vision for the first time i thought something was wrong with my engine! then when i would turn the bike on for others. that was one of the first things i would hear.. WOW THATS A NOISEY BIKE. or WHATS THAT NOISE? is that normal?
