I'm guessing he's talking about the front fender thread...because he made a post and was able to throw in "CHEAP ASS" as many times as possible....but apparently he wasn't sure if anyone read his comments so he needed to start a brand new thread to point out to all of us that he made a post on the forum. Now someone give him a cookie and glass of milk and pat him on the head. |

Posts: 8144 New Bohemia, VA | what is up with more and more people wanting to whine about stuff instead of being a man and taking care of things the right way. I'm sure I've done my share in some people eyes, but this forum is to share the rides and the common passion of riding. Sure, it's great place to share technical which sometimes ends up in the correct forum, but anymore its one thing after another that has little to do with the great ride you've been having. Have folks grown tired of sharing just how great this bike continues to be?
If Victory had cheap parts they certainly would not be in the black for sales. Don't let whinny weinies discourage you from posting the positive things about this bike or Victory. Sure, I drank the Vic-aide and I like it, the other kool-aides taste bitter and it gives me the runs... |

Posts: 51 REXBURG IDAHO | Got it. I am amazed how there are most of you that are defending cheap ass parts. Just hang on and you will see what I mean I put 15,000.00 miles on last year and 13,000.00 this year so I am having to get the cheap ass parts off before next season. new fork seals and oil, new seat foam and new seat cover, got rid of the cheap ass speakers, put a 300 watt amp on the bike , New front fender because victory put cheap ass oil in the forks and they put the cheapest seals in the forks I beleive the problem causing the fender to break. Also put clear bra on the areas that I get into a lot because of the cheap ass paint. So as i see it victory way over charged for this bike for the cheep ass parts that they used on this bike. |

Posts: 444 Bay of Gigs, WA | Yep. Speakers/stereo could be better. My wifes' chaps scuff the front of the saddlebags, so the paint could be better, or harder, however, I've been able to wax it smooth so far, but I get your point. Haven't had trouble with the other things so far, so I'm lucky there, but the rear brakes failed after a couple years due to heat or age or something, but I hear it has more to do with the DOT-5 fluid than the bike itself, that it happens to all makes, not just Vic. My ass is apparently not as pointy as some, so the seats been okay, too. The LCD on the dash doesn't seem to know, or care which gear it's in sometimes, but if I'm sober, I can usually tell, so, no issue there. Other than that, the Midnight Cherry paint is deep and sparkly as all get out in certain light, and if someone can point me to some "cheap ass" chrome wheels, that'd be good, 'cause it's still so new a model there's nothing on Craigslist yet. For cheap, I mean.
Had a good ride last night, nearly 60 degrees and clear skies, about the last of the Moheekans (or however you spell it) around here, so packed up the gal and went out to dinner. Real sweet night! And THAT'S what it's all about, right? For me, it's not about how many miles I put on (hell, this thing has to last me, on my budget), it's about the food and the weather and the views and stuff! And with the heated grips, seats and Gerbing coats, all I need is a day without rain, and I'm clear for takeoff! |

Lovin' it! Everything I buy nowadays has CHEAP ASS parts! My Blue Ray player stopped working after occasional use....I tore it apart.....what did I find? A CHEAP ASS plastic gear that drives the DVD tray had stripped. The difference between a quality gear and the CHEAP ASS gear they used must be about .00002 cents at volume.
My CHEAP ASS pickup trucks' air conditioning went out. Not a huge deal since I usually ride my CHEAP ASS bike. Still, it gets HOT here in south Texas. When I troubleshot it, turns out there's a CHEAP ASS resistor assembly in my high quality, made in the USA CHEAP ASS pickup that is known to burn out under regular use.
Went to mow my grass today. Because of the drought, it's the first time I've needed to since May. Go to drive the mower out of the garage and guess what? CHEAP ASS rear tire was flat. Why? A thorn had punctured the 3 ply CHEAP ASS tire. A thorn? Puncturing a riding lawnmower tire? CHEAP ASS company saved a buck or two there I suppose.
Went to play my favorite guitar a few days ago. A Schecter. Not a CHEAP ASS guitar. Would not stay in tune. For all the quality of that guitar, turns out that they used a CHEAP ASS nut on the neck. Gotta get a new one installed now. Normal wear and tear.
One of my tenants called me the other day. Told me they had to put a bucket under the AC vent in the master bedroom. Went to investigate. Turns out the roofers had previously installed a CHEAP ASS rubber seal on the bathroom roof vent flashing.
Noticed a light was out on my front door last weekend. I had just put new bulbs in less than a month ago. CHEAP ASS bulb burnt out. The other side of the door, with the same brand bulbs, has been going strong every night for about a year now.
I could go on. We all could. Businesses are in it to make money.(period) It's all about saving a penny at a time. No company is immune, and we, as consumers pay the price.
Unfortunately, it all boils down to very simple math.
I could go on. We all could
