Posts: 446 East TN | Chuck, a buddy of mine has one on his Yamaha...I don't think it will attach to the handle bars of the Vision, the mount is made for round bars...Also, he has problems with his due to ground and ground plane issues...But that cold be fixed if he just spent the time to do it... |

I would love to get a used one. Mounting would not be an issue. RF in no problem, I'm a HAM!

Posts: 18 Springville, AL | I've had this setup now for over 13,000 miles all over the country on some incredible roads. It has worked flawlessly for me. The install is clean as all the wiring is together. As far as the mirror, I see the top left corner of the mirror which shows cars in the "blind spot". However, I have never, ever changed lanes on any of my bikes without turning my head. I don't use the mirrors for lane changes. The right mirror is set in a way I can see directly behind me as well. So, mirrors are no issue. The antenna is a no gound plane antenna made by firestik... http://www.firestik.com/Catalog/NGP_M2.htm
The range of the CB is great and the clarity with my J&M Speakers is amazing. Also, the GPS instructions, music, intercom and telephone calls through the Zumo are just as clear.
One problem with mounting on the right handlebar is the J&M PTT button is on the left, so that physically wouldn't work. And, I didn't really want to use my right hand for any Zumo function. As far as mounting on the center console, again for me, a safety concern. I wanted to keep my left hand as close to the handlebar as possible at all times. I know were're only talking inches, but for me every inch counts
I guess the bottom line is that it works for me and that is what really matters.
