Perry Hall, MD | I've been interested in putting lights between the grips and the bar weights but I'm a little squeamish about drilling a hole to run the wires. The idea is to insert a 3/8" thick clear plastic spacer behind the weights with an LED imbedded in it that would be wired into the turn signals. To run the wires I will have to drill through the plug that the weight mounting screw attaches to. I have heated grips and don't want to mess them up when I start drilling.
Anyone familiar enough with the internal construction of the handlebars to know if this can be done safely? |
