Posts: 47 Lynchburg Virginia | I took a ride today from Lynchburg thru Fincastle and NewCastle to Paint Bank. The leaves are starting to change. Alot of yellow with a little red just starting in the soft wood trees. The colors should be pretty good by next weekend. I checked the forecast and right now the weather looks good for next weekend. I think we can count on it being cooler for sure. By the way if you ever pass thru Paint Bank I suggest you stop at the General Store and eat at the Swinging Bridge Restaurant. The food is great and the place has a unique interior, not to mention that they are very biker friendly. Sorry I don't have any pictures, when I ride alone I only stop for food and gas. The wife is the one that handles the photo stops.

Posts: 162 Northern NJ | Yep, we were down that way last weekend and some spots had beautiful color.
We ride through there a lot, there are a ton of great roads including VA 606 west of Fincastle.
We'll check out the Swinging Bridge restaurant next trip through. Thanks for the tip! |

Posts: 48 Simpsonville, SC | Was riding on the South end of the Blue Ridge Parkway yesterday, the foliage looked like it was at peak or past peak in many places, some sections the leaves were gone. Probably due to the high winds and that storm we had earlier this week. |
