Even the sun can be your enemy while riding.

You must anticipate the other drivers circumstance..

As an example, read this.

Sorry to bum your day.

The suns glare is worse for most of the day in the winter months because it dosen't get that high in the sky. Everybody be careful out there.......

"Cited for failure to yield"??? Yes it was an accident, but the biker was following the rules of the road and was killed because of someone's actions/negligence. Had that been a pedestrian in a crosswalk the mail truck driver would be in jail - end of story.

Kill a biker, go to jail.

This happened to my wife and I early spring. Same LH turn at an intersection and same damned sun. Luckily, we goosed the throttle and were just nicked in rear of bike. We were able to slide to a stop on our side. Thank God for tip overs keeping bike from pinning us down. First thing she said was "OMG, I didn't see you"

Try to find a report of an accident caused by a mail truck that resulted in the driver of the mail truck being jailed.  Good Luck.

Public union members are exempt from going to jail; besides, they'll just argue that a Bush got in the way of them seeing the biker.

What is this?!! Two in two days!

Yet another.

And in the comments, one clown, an SUV driver, blames the motorcyclist for using an "unprotected" mode of transportation.

Would love to comment, maybe later, words just elude me right now.

Ok, exclude the mail trucks, please, somebody pay for killing us bikers!

http://www.abqjournal.com/main/2011/09/22/news/breaking-motorcycle-...
"Police said that man failed to give right of way to the motorcyclist, who suffered massive head trauma and was pronounced dead upon arrival at UNMH.
Police said alcohol does not appear to be a factor, and the driver of the sedan will not face charges"

And this one:
"Motorcycle Deaths Increase" http://www.abqjournal.com/main/2011/07/18/news/motorcycle-deaths-in...
Wonder why?!? No penalties!
Perhaps a $25 ticket for killing a biker would defer some of these deaths. It's more than most of these bastards end up paying.
